Flooding and river overflow detected by AI camera GENBA IQ
Disaster prevention DX that utilizes existing surveillance cameras to detect underpass flooding and river flooding.
In underpasses across the country, incidents of vehicles being submerged continue unabated. A survey by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications found that in just four prefectures in the Chubu region, there are 691 locations expected to be flooded, with 246 flooding incidents and 21 vehicle submersion incidents confirmed over three years. This article will explain the potential for flood detection by combining existing surveillance cameras with the edge AI platform GENBA IQ, based on public data and industry trends as a technical proposal.
